This Tutorial is on the
Rain Applet

This is another rather easy applet to do.  There is little or no preparation for the image.  And, the image  can be a rainy scene, or not....it soon will be.   No borders are necessary, if you do decide to use borders, the rain will go out over them.  You may not like the effect.

For this applet you will need 2 class files which you can find in a zip file in our Files Section at Yahoo.   You will also need the height and width of your image for the applet code.

For Stationery Use :

<CENTER><APPLET codeBase="http://your website addy/ " code=Rain.class width=360 height=442><PARAM NAME="lightgray" VALUE="150"><PARAM NAME="delay" VALUE="100"><PARAM NAME="back" VALUE> http://your website addy/image.jpg" ><PARAM NAME="gray" VALUE="150"></APPLET></CENTER>

** Notice that the stationery code requires a codeBase and that all the website addy information is given.  This is essential for the applet to work.

For A Webpage Use :

<CENTER><APPLET code=Rain.class width=360 height=442><PARAM NAME="lightgray" VALUE="150"><PARAM NAME="delay" VALUE="100"><PARAM NAME="back" VALUE="applets/image.jpg" >
<PARAM NAME="gray" VALUE="150"></APPLET></CENTER>

The webpage does not require the codeBase or the long web addy.

There you have it, not that difficult at all to do.  Hope you are able to follow what I have written.  I will be looking forward to seeing some very wet creations.........And, as always, if you have any questions or need any help, don't hesitate to ask Karen, Shari or any of the group members.  We will be happy to help you.

Hugs,

Karen
