From the Wilkes-Barre Record, Tuesday, 14 February 1967:

Mrs. Gertrude Stiles, 62, of 98 Blackman Street, died yesterday morning at her home after an illness.

Mrs. Stiles was a member of the Albright Evangelical United Brethren Church.

Surviving are her husband, LaMotte; children, Mrs. Gertrude Kehler, at home; Mrs. Marjorie White, Jamesburg, N. J.; Mrs. Mary Karkosky, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Gloria Matysczak, Ashley; Mrs. June Orloski, Gregory and Jay, all of Souderton, Pa.; Mrs. Janice Green, Lavere and Daniel Norton, all of Wilkes-Barre; 37 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 from the funeral home, 257 Parrish Street, City. Interment will be in Mt. Greenwood Cemetery, Trucksville. Friends may call tonight and Wednesday night 7 to 10.
