November, 2002

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and what better time to stop and thank those who were responsible for making our 1st Cash Bash Fundraiser so successful.  So many people were involved, from the sellers of the tickets to the many contributors of the fabulous gifts for our Chinese Auction.  We realized a profit of $2,100 after expenses.  There is a list enclosed of the winners and all those who volunteered and donated to this fundraiser.

I want to thank each and every one of you for your continued support.  I was overwhelmed by the response (all 200 tickets were sold), and, can only hope that our next Cash Bash will be as wonderful.

                                                                        Judy Waclawski, President

TRIP TO POLAND – Ed Manko

A trip to Poland is being planned for May, 2003.  It will be an 8 day and 7 night trip with visits to Warsaw, Czestochowa and Cracow.  Plans are underway with tours to Old Town with market Square, St. John Cathedreal and the Royal Castle in Warsaw.  A guided visit to Jasna Gora Monastery in Czestochowa and an excursion to the unique, medieval Wieliczka Salt Mine, with much free time for shopping Cracow.  Other historic side trips will also be available.  We will be accommodated with a licensed speaking tour guide during our visits.  Price will include airfare, hotel accommodations, transfers between cities and breakfast.  Plans are being finalized to include dinner with the group or on your own, but we have estimated that cost in the overall cost of this trip.  We anticipate the cost to be $2,500 to $3,000.  If you will be joined with a spouse or guest an additional charge for flight only will need to be added.  We are planning on a total of 15-20 people making this trip.  For details call Ed Manko at (724) 745-2628 in the evening.
