          It’s hard to believe that it is the beginning of August and fall is just around the corner.  Summer is a busy time for vacations, cook-outs, fireworks and festivals.  Our donation of 38 appliances to Prince of Peace for their festival Household stand showed a profit of $1,100.00.  A special thanks to our volunteers who worked the stand Frances Sokol, Chris Spencer and her daughter, Heather, Carol Gmiter, Irene Manko and Sue Wesolowski.

 

          We have been working over the summer on new and exciting ideas, some of which will appear in this newsletter and others in upcoming newsletters.

 

 

CASH BASH – SATURDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2002

 

          On Saturday, October 12th, we will be hosting our Cash Bash Fundraiser at the Prince of Peace Parish Center, 82 South 13th Street, South Side.  Prizes total $3,500 and only 200 tickets will be sold.  Each ticket will have five 3 digit numbers (randomly selected) which gives each ticket holder 5 or more chances to win.

 

          Prizes will be given away every 15 minutes and are as follows:

 

7:00 P.M.             $300                      8:00 P.M.             $300

7:15 P.M.             $200                      8:15 P.M.             $200

7:30 P.M.             $300                      8:30 P.M.             $300

7:45 P.M.             $200                      8:45 P.M.             $200

 

9:00 P.M.                       $1,500

 

Doors will open at 5:30 P.M.    There will be food, beer, pop, and snacks.  Winner does not need to be present.    Donation:  $30 per person.

Congratulations to Jim Booritch on the birth of his son and our newest Honorary Lifetime Member, Riley James, who was born on July 21st.  Riley is the brother of Trey and grandson to Sue Booritch and Bob Nipar.

          As a reminder, membership dues for 2002 are due now.  Renewal forms were included in the last newsletter for those members who are not lifetime members.  If you need a form please contact one of the officers and we will be glad to send you a new form, or click here, print and mail with payment.
