Our annual Christmas Party was held on Thursday, December 4, 2003. We began with the traditional sharing of Oplatki and wishing our “family” a Merry Christmas and best wishes for a healthy and happy new year. Appetizers were served along with the wonderful desserts made and donated by our very dedicated ladies. We were entertained this year by the Good Shepard Bell Choir with Director Herb Dillahunt. These young people performed beautiful Christmas carols along with some secular music. The weather was beautiful (no snow) and a good time was had by all 87 members who attended.
CASINO NIAGARA TRIP – FEBRUARY 15-16, 2004
Last year we came back from our annual Casino Niagara trip to 18 inches of snow and found that our cars looked like little igloos. But yet that is not stopping us from taking that same trip this year.
Our trip is scheduled for February 15-16 and is another sellout. In fact, we had to order a larger bus since our group has grown from 41 to 52 this year and we have a waiting list. Everyone is excited about going and the little extra stop at the Seneca Casino.
MEMBERSHIP DUES
Very often we all put things aside and say to ourselves “I’ll do that later.” It is important as an Alumni member to keep your dues current. Failure to pay those annual dues can suspend your membership privileges (voting right, sponsorship of scholarships and receiving newsletters).
As a reminder to those of you who have not paid your 2003-2004 dues, a renewal form is enclosed in this newsletter. We would like to encourage you to keep your membership active and send in your dues now. You also have the option of a life-time membership for $30 which is a one time payment. If you have any questions, please call Sue Wesolowski, Treasurer (412) 481-2698.
FLEA MARKET – SATURDAY, MAY 15, 2004
Now that the holidays are over, many of us take advantage of the winter months to do some house cleaning. Wondering what to do with all those treasures? Why not consider renting a table at our 1st Flea Market being held on Saturday, May 15th at the Prince of Peace Parish Center. For a nominal fee of $15 you will have the chance to turn your treasures into cash. If you would like to reserve your table now please call Irene Manko at (412) 481-3598.
