Occasionally, it is eaten as a food in India and southern Central Asia. Gentian improves the circulation and digestion, helping to better nourish every part of the body. It is powerful for fighting fevers, and is used even to combat malaria in parts of its range where malaria occurs. It is also considered an antidote to snake and spider bites Excessive use of Gentian may cause nausea and vomiting. Hm.
