One Man Army:

home

One Man Army is from San Fransisco and released "Shooting Blanks" "Bootlegger's Son" 7inch and "Dead End Stories" with a bass player by the name of James Kotter. "Jimmy" in "the old songs"??? Who knows? Only jack. Well Jack lived on a dry docked boat for 3 months named El Diablo. Most of the songs on dead end stories are about this. I've also heard he lived in redwood city, CA, which is 10 minutes away from san fransisco. After his stint on the boat, jack moved into the laundry room where brandon was living at the time. They both fooled around on guitar but didn't really get anywhere so they picked up a drum kit and jack taught brandon how to play. They then picked up jimmy and OMA was born. They started playing shows in small venues and clubs. They have said that their first shows sounded good to them but they could've sucked. Heiko's lung collapsed when he was skating in Jack's cousin's yard. So Brandon went to see him in the hospital and asked him to be in the band. What happened to james? He's a Fire Fighter now in SF. Heiko actually showed up for practice hooked up to his oxygen machine!
