After an illness of eight months as a result of a complication of ailments due to the advancement of her age, Mrs. Rachel Ann Thomas Boon Phillips, 90, of Rogersville, one of the oldest residents of this vicinity, died yesterday morning, Sunday, July 8, 1945, at 9 o'clock. She spent most of her life in Greene County, the past 25 years of which she resided at Rogersville. She was born in Gilmore Township on October 2, 1855, a twin daughter of the late John and Sarah Stewart Thomas. She was twice married. Her first husband was John Boone and her second husband was Kalip Phillips. They are both deceased. She was a member of the Methodist Church at Rogersville. Surviving is a twin sister, Mrs. Ella Gray, of Rogersville.
