Harry Clay Staggers

David Queen states he thinks Harry is the nickname for the formal Henry in the records. A worksheet in the referenced genealogy society lists Henry C. wife as Etta (Mary Etta Thomas) his date of death is given as 1933.


Mary Etta Thomas

According to her grandaugter - (tk received e-mail from her) said that Mary Etta was a very sweet person, but others said she was quite mean and knows for a fact that her son Blaine had a mean streak in him as does his daughter Lucretia (Thomas Jones) her mother.


John Thomas Staggers

Teresa Kisko - Received information from David Queen rmdfq@msn.com for John Thomas Staggers and Sarah Chess's birthdays and children. Buried in Stagger's family cemetery on long Run in Jackson Twp near Bristoria PA. 1880 Census showed him as a farmer and having asthma. His obituary which he was called Thomas from Waynesburg Republican said he died from dropsy of the heart. David Queen was William Ellsworth's grandson

Henry Earl Staggers

Henry Earl Staggers, 64, of Holbrook, RD 1, died at 3 P.M. Friday, May 2, 1952, at his home. Mr. Staggers was born June 2, 1898, in Cameron, W. Va. and was a son of Mary Etta Thomas Staggers and the late Henry C. Staggers. He was the husband of Katherine Rush Staggers, who survives. He was a carpenter by trade, and resided most of his life in Jackson Township. Surviving, besides his mother and wife, both at home, are two sons, Earl W. Staggers, of Akron, Ohio, and Jesse Thomas Staggers, in the US Army; two daughters, Majorie Della Staggers and Mrs. Paul Freeman, both at home; five grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Della Jones, of Fairfax, Va. and one brother, Purman Staggers; of Washington. One son is deceased. more: Friends of Henry Earl Staggers, of Holbrook, RD 1, who died Friday, May 2, 1952, will be received after 7 P.M. Saturday at his late home, where private funeral services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Sunday, May 4. Burial in Staggers Cemetery, Jackson Township, Rogersville.

Franklin Sellers Thomas

Greene County Death Register 2, Pg 164, Ln 21 states that Franklin was 6 months at the age of death. Lists father as Geo. A. and mother as Mantie. Died of milk poison, illness duration - 1 week.
