West Allegheny Middle School Computer Lab
The West Allegheny Middle School Computer Lab course was introduced in the 1996-97 School Year.
The course is exploratory in nature, with each student having class once per 6-day rotation.
It is our goal that by the time each student leaves the Middle School,
they are able to succesfully navigate the Microsoft Office Series, are able to safely navigate the internet and to create
professional looking academic and business documents. Students are continuously working on Keyboaring Technique, Internet Usage and Safety
and Microsoft Office 97 Applications. All students are encouraged to continue in the Computer and Business Education track when they attend
West Allegheny High School. It is highly recommended that all 9th grade students enroll in the Keyboarding and Computer Applications courses
which will build on the foundation gained at the Middle School.
