Take Me Away
Please God take me away
Away from the lies and hate of the world
For now all I see ahead of me
Is the world where life is fading.
All I can see now is the blinding darkness
Where everything I see
Is a void blackness of life
And all I can make out is what I don’t want to see.
The love and happiness of my life
Has been washed away by everything
And what I thought I had
I never really ever had.
I never had the happiness
that I long for in my life
Because lies fill the hearts of men
and hate fuels their pleasure for self gain.
I understand now God
that you do what I cannot understand
but I do ask you to show me the way
or take me far far away.
Show me what true happiness is God
because you’re the only one
the one who can make me see
that life is more than I ever thought.
But please if you regret to give me this
This one little thing
then please God
Please take me away.
