And when you finally see the light,
Darkness only seems to grow about it,
Until all of it is hidden away,
And you can see nothing.
That's where you find me.
Lost and unable to find my way,
Searching in the darkness,
I stay, unable to move.
And when I finally let go,
Let the tears stream down,
I realize that as it hurts more,
The darkness stays strong.
Here I can find no escape,
For I've searched my mind,
Knowing everything found has been lost,
And the impulse grows.
I feel the pain inside,
And accept it with all grace.
I won't fight it now,
It's been too long.
