Attack Information
Conversion 2 replaces the existing type(s) of the using pokémon with one that is either immune or resistant to the base type of the move used by the opposing pokémon just prior to the use of Conversion 2. The choice of which type is converted to is completely random, giving no weighting to whether the type will be immune or resistant.

The qualifier of types denotes that although the pokemon who naturally learn the move have only one type to replace, a pokemon that uses Conversion 2 by some other source (i.e. by use of Mimic) will have both types replaced by the type that has been converted to.

The qualifier of base type of the move is not significant in most cases as there is nothing usunsual about the type of most moves. The exceptions to this are Hidden Power and Curse. Hidden Power is treated as the type determined by the pokémon's DVs for the purpose of determining strengths and weaknesses in the standard damage formula. However, only its base type of Normal in considered for the use of Conversion 2. Also, since the base type for Curse is ???, it does not have type information. Because of this, Conversion 2 will always fail if Curse is the move that the opposing pokemon uses just before Conversion 2 goes off.

The qualifier of move is used to avoid confusion over Conversion 2 working on damaging and non-damaging attacks. It works on all moves used by the opponent, including those that only target the opposing pokemon (i.e. Agility). However, since Conversion 2 works off of the opponent's last move, it is subject to evade/accuracy modifiers, such as Double Team.

The type that has been switched to is displayed in a text message to the player when the move is successful. While converted, STAB for any moves used will be assigned based upon the current type, not the original type(s). The pokémon will return to its original type(s) after being switched out.

Conversion 2 is affected by Brightpowder when the opposing pokémon is equipped with it.

Like all other non-damaging Normal-type attacks, Conversion 2 affects Ghost-type pokémon, despite their immunity to Normal attacks.
