Justin laughed despite feeling down. He sobered up some when he remembered why he was so down. Joey smiled. It was the first genuine time that day that he had seen justin laugh all day. Justin noticed joey observing him, but just as he was about to comment, the bathroom door flung opened, and Chris walked out "Ahh that was the best piss of my life" He said happily. Joey, Lance, Justin and Jc didn't even bother to look up. "We didn't need to know" the said in unison.
Chris shrugged it off and sat down with Joey at the playstation. Joey grinned evilly.
"Prepare to get yo' ass WHIPPED!" Chris whooped.
"Not If I get yours first..." Said Joey maneuvering the controls. When Chris looked on the screen he saw his player got knocked down.
"No fair! I don't wanna play with you anymore!" He pouted. Justin chuckled at their antics and jumped on the couch that Lance was on, causing the lap top on his laptop to wobble dangerously.
Justin peered over Lance's shoulder to see what he'd been working on, but the screen was idle, so he decided to ask instead, but before he could even get the words out, Lance answered him.
"I'm working on a website for FreeLance Ent. Now stop being nosy and leave me alone."
"All right" He said defensively holding up his hands. "Point taken" he got up off the couch and found the corner in which Jc was found engrossed in the newspaper. He looked pretty busy, so he decided to leave him alone.
He needed something to do. He felt bored and depressed, and his friends weren't helping much. He looked at an *Nsync emblem on the wall and it gave him an idea. Reading fan letters and looking through gifts always brightened him up considerably. On the table there was a big batch from their show in Richmond Virginia. He sat down quietly at the table to read through some. He liked the original ones the best. They were straight from the heart. Although he had nothing against Blue's Clues Dogs and beany babies (which he saved for his brothers) but they were grown men with a collection of stuffed animals and that's not saying much when you're 18.
The first few were the same: oh my God I love you Justin SOOO much....Hey I'm legal! 227-5555....I am like your BIGGEST fan!....Are you dating that Britney bitch? 'Cuz I would look much better in your arms.... Justin rolled his eyes and picked up a couple more. Marry me please!!!....The next one read: I'd do ANYTHING to meet you....He threw it down and skimmed the first line of the next letter. One day when we get married...He shook his head humorously and picked up the next one. here is a picture of me.... Justin picked up the picture and cringed. It was something he'd never be caught in public with. The girl looked about 14 or so with a really bad case of acne, a pug-like nose, round cheeks and a choppy layered haircut.
It looked a lot like Chis's dog Busta in a wig. Shaking his head he reached for a couple more. The first had a big heart on it that said "I love you". He sighed. 'They don't even know what love is! Hell I don't even know what it is!he thought. He shook his head in disgust and pushed the pile over to the side, when a baby blue envelope caught his eye. One more 'addicted fan' letter wouldn't hurt him he figured. He tore it open to find a little strip of paper. He looked at it with intrest, most letters were never this short. It read:
Justin,
I'm not sure if this'll even get to you...but it's worth a try. I know it's been a long time since we last met, and you probably hate me for what I did. You never let me explain my side of the story, and tonight's my only chance. Meet me at the hotel, 'Double Tree' rm. 410 after your show. I'll be there waiting. ~Ariella
Justin felt his blood run cold. She had even found out what hotel he was at. His initial thought was to stand her up, but he needed closure. It was the only way he was going to get over it, and he was doing it for his sake, not hers he reminded himself. Don't let her get to you. You're stronger-You'll win.
