More RE Outbreak information

Capcom sent word today (April 29, 2003) that it plans to hold a "world premiere" at its Electronic Entertainment Expo booth next month for Resident Evil Outbreak, the online-compatible PlayStation 2 title it debuted last year under the title Network Biohazard. The event will take place on Wednesday, May 14 at 11:00am PST, and the game will be on display for the rest of the show.

Set somewhere between the second and third Resident Evil games, Outbreak features four-man teams tackling missions and cooperating with each other to find a way out of the ruins of Raccoon City. The game can be played offline (via four-player split-screen) or online (via a broadband or modem connection). The U.S. version is tentatively due out later this year; stay tuned for further updates soon.
