CODE: Veronica X prepares for PS2 release

The Playstation 2 is just on the verge of receiving its first dose of the Resident Evil franchise with CODE: Veronica X, a port of the popular, “Dream-Game” award winning Dreamcast game. The story of CODE: Veronica remains pretty much the same: Claire Redfield infiltrates Umbrella’s Paris facility looking for her brother, Chris, when she is later captured and taken to the corporation’s prison/laboratory facility on Rockfort Island, off the coast of South America. The game begins as Claire is thrown headlong into yet another nightmare involving the deadly T-virus and its components.

This version of CODE: Veronica, however, will contain over 10 minutes of extra cinemas that will help flesh out the overall Resident Evil storyline and Wesker’s character. Another “X”-tra feature included with CODE: Veronica X will be a playable demo of the upcoming PS2 game, “Devil May Cry.”
