CAPCOM & NAMCO team up for first person shooter

It has officially been announced that CAPCOM and NAMCO will be teaming up to create the first ever Resident Evil arcade game. The game will be a first person shooter and can be played with either one or two players. Several possible names for the game include "Resident Evil: Gun Survivor 2" and "Resident Evil Firezone." No official name has yet been chosen.

The game will feature Claire Redfield and Steve Burnside fighting their way through zombie ridden levels. Several screenshots of the game suggest that it will take place on Rockfort Island. The storyline is as of yet unknown and wether or not the game is made up of levels or just one big area is unknown. Also, wether or not this first person arcade shooter will find its way to a gaming platform is unknown as is its release date.
