Wedding announcement taken from the Ligonier Echo. January 7 1903 page 1. The ceremony which united Miss Mayme Rhodes, of Sommerset to Emanuel D. Frye, of No. 414 Robb avenue, this city, was proformed at 3 p.m. Wednesday, December 24, 1902, at the home of the brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Rhodes, by the Rev, Hershberger, of the Somerset Evangelical Church, in the presence of a number of relatives and friends of the contracting pair. Their attendents were Harry W. Barclay of Johnstown, and Miss Hazel Burkett, of Somerset. Among the persons to witness the ceremony were Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Custer, of No. 414 Robb Avenue; Mrs Lowman Barclay, of Barclay Street, mother of the best man and Miss Tross of Napolian Street. The bride and Groom came to the city Wednesday evening over the Somerset & Cambria Branch and remained at the Custer home in the Fifth Ward until yesterday morning, when they left for Ligonier to spend their honeymoon. They bride is one of Somersets estimable young ladies and quite popular in that place, while Mr. Frye is an industrious young man of this city and holds a good position with the Cambria Steel company.-- Johnstown Tribune,

Mayme and her son Richard were given a double service in Ligonier. Mayme who had been seriously ill for some time, passed away at home in Johnstown. It was just days after the untimely death of her son Richard. They were both buried in Ligonier Valley Cemetery .
