Died of complications of disease. He was sick for several months before his death. From Obituary..From The Ligonier Echo February 15 1935 page 4. Clyde J. Carnes, aged 49 years and six days, died at his home in Latrobe, at 2 o`clock Tuesday afternoon of a complication of dieseases. He had been in ill health since April when he discontinued the Crystal ice route in Latrobe. He belonged to the Loyalhanna Lodge F. and A.M. the old fellows, and the Tall Cedars of Lebanon. He is survived by his widow, Mrs Myrtle Frye Carnes, formerly of this place and one daughter, Ruth Elizabeth. The following brothers and sisters also survive, Mrs. Clarence Hofelt of Acron; Mrs James Hunter, Burton Carnes and Lawrence Carnes, all of Latrobe. Funeral services are being held at 2 o`clock this afternoon. In charge of the service is the Rev. Paul Harper McKee, paster of the Latrobe Presbyterian Church. Interment will be made in the Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
