As stream data is collected and analyzed, we plan to develope a map showing areas and types of non-point source or point source pollution. From this map students will generate a public presentation to inform the community of our findings. Land owners with specific problems will be contacted, and students and teachers will meet with the landowners to discuss remediation options that best suit the situation and landowner. If situations arise that allow a landowner to apply for financial assistance outside this grant, the remediation team will help the landowner find these sources as well as help with any paperwork. We further plan to have a minimum of four public presentations to inform residents and concernc citizens about the needs and benefits of good water quality, the need to protect streams that currently have good water quality, and about ways they can become involved in these types of projects.
