Other Rescued Cats in My Life

This page depicts some of the other cats that were rescued from the mean streets.

Mr. Paris

On September 9, 2002, while I was trying to rescue some strays in the city, this scrawny, matted, hungry cat walked right into an open cat carrier. Over the next year, he blossomed into this really fantastic, friendly DLH cat. I was incredulous that someone could abandon such a fine cat, leaving him declawed and defenseless on the streets. Paris went to live with an elderly woman in Camp Hill, where he gave much love and support to his companion human and was loved in return.

Zembo's Brother

Here is one of Zembo's brothers. (half brother). This is Widgie. He was born in a subsequent litter to Zembo's mother, the Ghost Cat. Widgie is a Harlequin DSH with hypnotic gold eyes. He is now eight years old and still resides with me.

The Sisters Rosenweig

The Sisters Rosenweig, twin tortoiseshell kittens who survived a deadly epidemic at the cattery in which they were born, lived comfortable lives at the Swatara Street house. Also pictured is a longhair tortie, Martha Wash, who with her brother was adopted from a roadside stand in western Pennsylvania, near Shenksville. She later went to live with a kind couple in New York City.
