Flying
I started flying on May 11, 1956 and soloed in an Aeronca 7AC on runway
23 at AGC airport on July 2nd, 1956. Since then, I have updated my ratings
over the years to include: Commercial Pilot airplanes, instrument,
multi engine land single engine sea, Commercial Glider, and
Flight instructor for Airplanes Instruments and Gliders. Other related
FAA licenses I hold are : ATCS rating, Control Tower Operator rating
Greater Pittsburgh Tower, FPL radar controller and CTO examiner.
My second airplane, N1544B Luscombe 8F. 90 hp. Continental engine, all
metal, Full electrical system, two 15 gal. wing tanks, rated at + 8.5 G
and - 2.5 G used less than 4 gal/ hr cost $2600. Wish I still had it today.
