The pic is huge...but that's cuz Baylee's digital camera decided that it should be huge. Who am I to argue with it?
I wonder how many of you are at this very moment deciding that I have officially lost my marbles. Probably most of you ;-)
Try to be open minded folks. It could, after all, be much worse. This is my second tattoo. While I do like my other one, it's small, and really unremarkable. This is the one I'm really proud of. I just sent Nez (Michael Nesmith) the link to this page. I just had to ;-) He'll probably think I'm a total fruit loop! I hope not though.
I wanted another tattoo, and I wanted it to be something very special to me that I could really enjoy having. My mom agreed to let me get it (since I'm only 16 she had to sign a paper)
I had wanted a yellow butterfly for my first one, but out of fear (they use needles for this you know!) I opted for a nice tiny peace symbol. This time, since I knew it really didn't hurt all that bad, I decided I would finally get my butterfly. That won out over the other possibilities. I made an appointment to get it done, and when I got there I looked through the various butterfly designs they had. My mom showed me one that had a diamond shaped space in the middle where a name or initials could be placed. Perfect :-) To understand why, you must know why I wanted a yellow butterfly. It's for a Michael Nesmith song that I absolutely love. My mom and I agreed that it'd be cool to put NEZ in the diamond. Nez is Michael's nickname, and a few of my friends have been calling me that as well for a few years now because of a necklace I have that has it in alphabet beads.
My cybersister Mina asked me a very good question...what if I decide I don't like him anymore? Well, I won't ;-) And, in the very unlikely circumstance that I do, I can always get the diamond colored in black. Easy beans.
People always ask, so I'm gonna clear up a few things now: Yes, it hurt, but not unbearably so. It took somewhere between 45 minutes and an hour to get done, and cost me $65. Anybody who likes it, thanks! Anybody who doesn't...well, sorry, but it's my body, and I like it! I just really hope that if Nez does actually come here he won't think I'm totally nutso.
