St. Matthew - Torrance, California Icon of St. Raphael, written by Shamassy [Deacon's wife] Bonnie Gillis of Pomona, California, in March 2001. Interestingly, the donors are descendents of two of St. Raphael's sisters, Malakie and Yamna Hawaweeny. It is part of a matched set, with an icon of St. Ignatios of Antioch; ergo, these are the first and latest of the Antiochian Fathers and demonstrates the spiritual heritage of the Antiochian Archdiocese of North America. |
