Ok, here is an example safari that you can follow along with if you are not quite sure how to calculate your score yet.

So how many points is this Weasel worth? Lets look:

The Weasel has a cloak% of 13, shield% 27, a mass of 12, and an average tech level of 3. I have a shield% of 25, a mass of 13, and an averge tech level of 2. How did I get my average tech level? Let's see:

I have 9 usable mods, and the tech level of them adds up to 15. 15/9= 1.6 or 2 when rounded.

The Weasel has a weapon score of 21, and I have a weapon score of 16. How did I get these numbers? Let's look:

The Weasel has a mediocre gun and ram. We multiply the base damage by the tech level and the range first. The gun is 30x3x2=180 The ram is 35x3x1=105. These two numbers are then added to give us 285. But we are not done yet! The Weasel has a weapon artifact that blesses his weapons. We have to take this into account. (If his artifact cursed his weapons, we would have to take this into account also). The blessing gives him a 50% bonus, so 285/2=142.5 142.5+285=427.5 Now that we have that figured out, we take the square root of 427.5. This number comes out to be 20.68, or 21 when rounded.

Follow the same procedure for my ship.

I have a basic fighter and a mediocre gun. (5x2x7)+(30x3x2)=250 The I have no artifacts, so the square root of 250 is 15.8, or 16 after rounding. When computed, the total score for the weasel will be 1027.69, or 1028 after rounding.

Now let's look at the end of the battle, in which the Weasel fled, taking none of my modules:

Lets assume that I captured his pod and four other mods. Since I didn't destroy the whole ship, I have to calculate my score for the % that I did destroy. Since the pod had 3 units of cargo, that pod has 4 mass (3 cargo+1 pod). Add in the other 4 mods I shot off, and that means I destroyed/captured 8 mass units. 8/12 (total mass of weasel)=.666, or 67% Multiply 1028 by .666, and your final score is 685.33, or 685 after rounding.

Remember to report your final score (685), the mass you destroyed (8), and any artifacts captured (none) to me so I can post them.
