A few days ago I went to GameFaqs website and I saw something that had totally disturbed me. When I did a search on shadowgate they listed one for the Super Nintendo. I thought what is this? because I didn't remember a Super Nintendo version and on all the lists of released games I couldn't find this game. I even checked on an international list but it wasn't listed on there either. I then decide to go to Shadowgate's official website and there I posted a message for Shadowgate Support to answer the best they could.And below is what they told me.
Yes, there was a Shadowgate for Super Nintendo but it was planned for the CD attachment and it never released. They said that bits and pieces made it to the N64's version of the game but there wasn't anything paticular that made it. And I asked them some more questions about it such as charcters,story,artwork,boxart, and that type of thing but they said they weren't allowed to tell me anything else because the game never made it beyond a design document and they can't say anything more incase they ever decide to use the ideas.
I think that it would be great if they did release what was going to be the Super Nintendos Shadowgate for another system. Maybe gameboy? Probably not but they might and beable to since nintendo is releasing Donkey Kong Country for gameboy. I think it would be awesome but I don't think they will release Super Nintendos Shadowgate. But atleast we can think about what it might have been. And if anymore info comes out about it, I'll be sure to have it.
