The whole story of Batman begins with a boy who witnessed his parents' murder outside a theater in Gotham City. After that day, the boy, Bruce Wayne, vowed vengence on anyone who broke the law. To build up his skills in defense, the martial arts, and dectective work, Bruce traveled the world, learning from many masters of these skills.

Finally, when his skills were complete, he returned to Gotham city and became Batman, a crime fighter with his own code of justice, vowing never to kill a criminal.

By day, he is Bruce Wayne, a millionaire who inherited his father's business. Bruce keeps this mask on only until the night, when he becomes Batman, Gotham's Dark Knight.
