Lowbacca is the nephew of Chewbacca. He was brought academy to train by his Uncle even though he was nervous about fitting in. Tenel Ka, Jacen, and especially Jaina quickly became his friends, but they a problem arose: they didn't understand Wookiee. C-3PO helped program a small translator droid called Em Teedee that Lowie could clip onto his belt.

Lowie has a special talent for computer programming. He gets along well with Jaina who shares his love for machines. He was captured along with Jaina and Jacen and taken to the Shadow Academy, where Brakiss tried to turn him to the Dark side. While trying to exscape with the twins Luke and Tenel Ka found them and aided in them.

While returning home Lowie was reunited with his sister, Sirrakuk, who was now oddly shaven. There things took a turn for the worse and was to return back to Yavin IV to prepare for the attack from Shadow Academy.

Later while searching for Raynar's father he found his "dead" friend Rabba, who now part of the Diversity Alliance, and wanted him to join. He aided his friends in destroying the plague and bringing an end to the Diversity Alliance
