Jacen, like his sister, Jaina, has gained luck and the Force through his parents. Before they were born Leia tried to send thoughts to them through the Force, but they couldn't respond. Before they were born one of them used the force to clutch at Leia's finger.

After the twins were born Leia was busy with problems facing the New Republic, so she had three Noghri assassins and Winter to watch her children.

After going to the Auril system Jacen went to Nespis VIII, with Jaina, where there younger brother, Anakin, was born.

Jaina, Jacen, and Anakin were taken to Anoth where they were taken care of by Winter. At the age of two Jacen returned home. When Leia or Han couldn't take care of the twins Chewie or C-3PO watched them.

When Luke was in a coma, Jaina and Jacen was the only one who could see his spirit they helped protect him with their mother.

When the twins were 5 they were kidnapped along with Anakin to train in the dark side of the force. The twins were rude and insolent to their "master". They helped other children to escape from them. When Jacen was 14 he went to Uncle Luke's Academy.

Jacen loves animals. He can some how talk to the animals by using the Force, but he doesn't know how. Every time his father comes to visit he brings Jacen a new animal or something for his pets, and a lot a times his pets get him into trouble. Jacen is always telling jokes and trying to get Tental Ka to smile.

Like his family Jacen is strong in the force. He is the second oldest of the Solo children, and more then anything he wanted a lightsaber until he was forced to use one at Shadow Academy.
