Zekk, an orphan from Ennth, an isolated planet that has planet-leveling natural distress every eight years, stowed away on a cargo ship during his first experience with the disaster. He hopped ships until he ended up with Peckhum, who lived in the lower levels of Coruscant. He spent most of his time searching for scraps that he could sell for money, which he had a talent for finding , and out running a gang called The Lost Ones. While living there he made an odd friendship with the Chief of States children, Jaina and Jacen Solo.

One night he was captured by the Shadow academy, and trained to be a Jedi under Brakiss, who convinced him that the Solo's weren't his friends. After defeating an opponent, Zekk was given the title of The Darkest Knight. He was given the task of killing Jaina and Jacen even though his training he still cared about the twins to try and save them. When finding Jaina on Kashyyyk he told her about the attack.

He lead the raid on Yavin IV until it came down to a fight against him and Jaina. She gave him the choice to stay with the dark, but he could also come into the light. He realized that she was really his friend and Brakiss wasn’t. In turn he saved Jaina and everyone from an explosion that blew up most of the Temple.

He fell into a coma for several days. When he came about Jaina wanted him to stay at the Academy, but afraid to use the Force and he was still haunted by the fact that he lead the attack he decided to become a Bounty Hunter.

When Raynar's father disappeared he was hired by a mystery person to send messages. After putting together a few clues he figured out that the person Bornan Thul, and his secret: the Diversity Alliance was after was after a plague that would kill all humans. Once again joining Jaina, Jacen, and their friends they destroyed the plague, and the Diversity Alliance.

Zekk decided to no longer deny his Force talents and enroll in Luke Skywalker's Jedi Academy.
