Part 1: The Temple

*Note Please know. This is my first time writing Fan Fiction.


        Jaina was awaken suddenly by her brother calling to her 
through the Force.  What do you want Jacen?  She thought.  It was to 
early to talk to anyone.  There had to be at least three standard 
hours left in the sleep cycle.  "Where you sleeping," he asked.
	"Yes, it's a bad habit I have had since birth."
	"How can you sleep?  It is almost to exciting," he replied.
	"What is,"  Jaina asked almost afraid to find out what he was 
talking about.  If she didn't know he would spend half the night 
asking her how she didn't know before she was told.
	"What is? What is?!  Jaina how couldn't you know..."
	"Just tell me, Jacen,"  she had to remember to keep calm.  
	"We graduate in one week," he said.
	"Jacen, I really don't want to talk about that right now.  
Good night..." she said looking out the window she could see the sun 
starting to rise over the jungle moon of Yavin 4.  "...or should I 
say Good Morning."  Shecouldn't sleep anyway.  Zekk had promised to 
be back to come to graduation. She hadn't heard for him for over 
three months.

	Everyone had gathered in the Grand Audience chamber.  Jacen, 
Tenel Ka, Lowie, and Raynar were sittining the front row waiting by 
one empty seat.  "Where is she,"  Jacen said, "she would never miss 
this?"
	Just as the words left his mouth he got his answer.  Jaina 
came 
running down to her seat.  "Where were you," Jacen asked.
	"Sorry, I almost forgot.  I had...other things on my mind."
	"What other things..."  Jacen was cut off when Master 
Skywalker walked into the room.  "I am happy to see all my young Jedi 
Knights together today.  This will be one of the last times that we 
will all be together until graduation.  I don't want to keep you long, 
because we have much preparing to do.  I wish to see all of you before 
the end of the week for a talk.  May the Force be with you." 
	Jaina looked around "Hey where's Lusa?"
	"I don't know," Jacen said.
	"Master Lowbacca said he last saw her with Master Raynar." EM-TD 
chimed in.  Everyone looked at Raynar, whos face had turned bright red. 
"When did you see her last?"  
"Um, well we went to the waterfalls.  No we went for a went for a walk 
throught the forest four days ago."
	"That was the last time anybody seen her,"  Jacen asked.  Everyone 
nodded their head.
	"Could you take us to where you were," Tenel Ka asked.
	"Sure. When do you want to go?"
	"How about everyone meets here in twenty minutes?" Jacen asked.
	"Sounds fine."  Raynar said.

	Jaina sat on her bed looking out her window with other things on 
her mind then Lusa.  "Zekk where are you?"  She sat there watching 
the sky.  A ship flashed across the sky that looked like the Lightning 
Rod.  "Zekk!? No it can't be you would have sent a message."
	Jaina reached out with the force to see if it was really him 
when she heard a crash.  She stood up, and walked out of her room.  
She could see one of the rooms down the hall way one of the doors was 
slightly opened.  Jaina went down the hall and saw that it was Lusa's 
room.  She opened the door and went in.  "Lusa are you here?  When 
did you come back? Lusa? Where where you?   Lusa?"

	Inside the Grand Audience Chamber Jacen, Tenel Ka, and Lowie 
stood 
waiting for Jaina and Raynar.  "Blaster bolts," Jacen said annoyed 
that 
they had been waiting there ten minutes longer then they should have 
been. "Where could they be?"
	Lowie let out a roar. "Here comes Master Raynar now,"  EM-TD 
said.
	"Sorry I'm late.  Hey, where's Jaina?"
	"I don't know," Jacen answered.  She has been out of it lately.  I 
think she is worried about Zekk."
	"That is a fact,"  Tenel Ka added. 
	"Well should we wait for her," Raynar asked.
	"No, let's go,"  said Jacen.
	Raynar put his hand down by his side.  "I forgot my lightsaber.  I 
better go get it.  You go on ahead, and I'll catch up with you.  Just 
follow the path down to the river."  Raynar took off running towards 
his room.
	"I have never seen him run that fast,"  Tenel Ka said with a 
suprised look on her face.
	"Well, Lasa means a lot to him."  Jacen said.  Lowie nodded 
his head.

	Jaina walked over to the night stand and saw something 
sticking 
out from behind it.  She reached down and picked it up.  It was a 
letter:
		HAD TO LEAVE.  GRAVE DANGER.  GET OUT OF HERE, FAST!
					
						~LUSA

	Jaina felt that there was another presence in the room, but 
it wan't Lusa's.  She turned around and ran out of the room almost 
runing Raynar over.   "Hey where are you going?"
	"Raynar just come with me."  She grabbed his hand and pulled 
him into her room.
	"Hey what's going on?" 
	"Read this."  She shoved the letter in his hand and stared 
gathering some things.
	"What?  Jaina, where did you get this?"
	"It was in Lusa's room.  Somebody is after her and they are 
here.  
I know you and Lusa became good friends, and a lot of times you would 
go off together.  Now where did you go?"
	"Wait a minute.  What makes you think she still here on Yavin 
4?"
	"There is no way she could have left.  Lusa can't fly a ship."
	"She could have left on another ship."
	"There has only one ship that been here on for the last week 
and that was Peckhum's.  He would never take her without letting us 
know first.  Now where did you go with her?"
	"Well her favorite place was down by the waterfalls..."
	"Then that's where we are going."

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*	

	Down by the river Jacen, Tenel Ka, Lowie, and EM-TD started 
looking for Lusa.  "I wonder where Raynar is,"  Jacen asked.
	"I don't know.  He should have cought up with us by now."  
Just then Lowie let out a roar.  "Mistress Tenel Ka and Master Jacen, Master 
Lowbacca found a ship."
	Tentel Ka and Jacen ran over to Lowie.  Across the river there 
was a ship behind some fallen trees.  "I wish Jaina was here.  She could 
tell us somethig about it,"  Jacen said as he started towards it.
	"Friend, Jacen wait," Tenel Ka yelled after him. "That ship 
looks 
fimilar. That's Dengar's ship."
	"The bounty hunter?  What is he doing here?"
	"Master Lowbacca suggests that we leave here as fast as 
possiable 
and tell Master Skywalker."
	"Your right Lowie we should get out of here."

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*	
	
	"Well here we are Jaina."
	"Wow, these waterfalls are so beautiful.  I have never seen 
anything like it."
	"I know.  Lusa loved it here.  Her favorite spot was over 
here."  He lead her up over some rocks to a ledge over looking the 
falls.
	"Well then what are we waiting for?  This would be the best 
place to start looking."
	"What should we look for?"
	"Look for any sign that she has been here:  footprints, fur, 
anything that she could have been wearing."
	"I hope she is okay."
	"You really care for her don't you, Raynar?
	"Well, I quess so.  I mean I never felt like this around 
anyone else before.  It's hard to explain.  I can't wait to be 
around her, yet when I am afraid that I'll make a wrong move or I 
make an idiot out of myself.  I have a million things to say, but 
everytime I open my mouth nothing will come out.  I don't know maybe 
it's because she was part of the Diversity Alliance, and she doesn't 
know how to trust or act around humans yet.  Oh, it's so stupid.  
You wouldn't understand."
	"No, Raynar, I know all to well. I know you two are close 
friends, 
and I've seen how you act around Lusa. You love her."
	"You do?  How?"
	"I feel the same way around Zekk, but if I do anything wrong 
around him he'll never let me hear the end of it."
	"You love Zekk?"
	"I didn't say that. We are just friends."
	"Good. I don't see how you could.  How could you you?  He's 
not like you...he's a bounty hunter... a scoundrel."
	"He is not not!  He is a good person! Just because he is a 
bounty 
hunter doesn't mean anything!  He helped find your father.  He's 
wonderful, kind and, caring..."

	"See you love him, don't you."
	"I...well...I mean...um...hey look this."
	"What is it?"
	"Footprints.  Two sets of them."
	"Two?"
	"We better hurry."

	"Uncle Luke!  Uncle Luke!"
	"Hello Jacen, Tenel Ka, Lowbacca, EM-TD.  Where's your sister?"
	"Uncle Luke, we were down by the river and we saw Degner's ship."
	"Degnar,  what would he want with us?"
	"Master Skywalker we think he is after Lusa.  She has been missing 
for a few days."
	"There must be a very large bounty on her head for Dengar to be 
after her.  Didn't Raynar or Jaina go with you to look for her with 
you?"
	"Well, Jaina didn't show up, Uncle Luke, and Raynar he was 
coming 
with us, but he went back to get his lightsaber, and we haven't seen 
them since."
	"Okay,  You look around the temple and see if you can find 
either of them."

	"Do you see an end to the tracks yet, Jaina?"
	"No."
	"I wonder who else is with her."
	"Or after her.  Have you ever gone this far with her before?"
	"No, and I don't think she has ever gone past the waterfalls.  If she 
did she would have taken  someone.  She doesn't know the jungle to 
well, and
she was always afraid of getting lost..."
	Jaina put out her arm out fast infront of Raynar to stop him.  "Hey 
what was that for?"
	"Shhh."
	"What is it," Raynar said in a whisper.
	"Can't you hear that?"
	"Hear what?"
	"Use the Force."
	"It sounds like someone is following us.  Do you think it is 
the 
person we are following?"
	"No.  These footprints are large.  That person would make 
much more noise.  This is a smaller person."  

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*	
	
	Jacen walked down the hall to his room.  He walked over to 
the cage with his crystal snake in it.  "Your trying to brake out 
again?  I just can't seem to keep you in a cage.  Jaina should love 
this challenge."
	He walked over to the door connecting the two rooms together.  
"Jaina.Jaina! Jaina? Hello Jaina are you here?"  He opened the door 
and walked into the room.  Every thing was all over the floor.  The bed 
was tipped over, the drawers were emptied, and all Jaina's tools were 
thrown onto the floor.  "What in the Force happened here?"
	Jacen ran out of the room and got Uncle Luke.  "We got to go 
find her."
	"Jacen that's not the best idea.  We don't even know where 
she might be or who would want to do this." Luke pionted out.
	"We are going to have to contact your parents Jacen.  If they 
went after Jaina they might be after you next.

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
	
	"Jaina look a temple. Jaina?"
	"Oh sorry.  What did you say?
	"Jaina, are you okay?"
	"There is just something bothering me."
 	"The footprints end here.  Do you think we are going to find 
her."
	"I don't know.  We have to have faith in the Force."  They 
walked into the dark temple. 
	"I can't see anything." Raynar said.
	"Don't worry. I got it covered."  Jaina reached to her belt 
and lit the glow rod. "We only have two hours before it goes out.  I 
only got to recharge it a couple of hours before we left."  They 
walked down the hall that was only two people wide, until they came 
to a large room with hundreds of passages.  "Which way do you think 
we should go Jaina?"	
	"I don't know.  Look at the writing on the walls.  I wonder 
what they say, Raynar?"
	"I don't know.  We should have brough EM-TD."
	"You'll never hear me say this, but I wish we brought him, 
too.  I 
think I remember Anakin saying something about a temple like this.  
He said that he could feel dark side in it."
	"Let's go this way."
	"No Raynar,  It doesn't feel right.  Here picture Lusa in 
your head.  Strech out your feelings to her."
	"This way.  She's down this way." They went down a long tunnel 
and came to an area about the size of Jaina's room.  Lusa was laying 
in the corner.  "Lusa!" Raynar screamed as he ran over to her and hugged her.  
"Are you okay?"
	"Yes I'm fine."	
	"Lusa what kind of trouble are you in?  I found your letter."
	"I found a message that was being sent.  It said a bounty was 
placed on somebody.  I couldn't tell what the peraon's name was, but 
it said that they were here on Yavin 4.  I had to leave."
	"Why didn't you go to Master Skywalker?"
	"When I intercepted the message I went to the falls to think about 
what I should do, but when I came back to the academy I went to my room.  
I started to write a letter when I  saw someone in trying to come in through
the window, so I ran here, and haven't left.  I figured that the message was 
referring to me."
	"Lusa do you know what the person looked like,"  Jaina asked.
	"I'm not sure who it was.  He had a lot of bandages around his face."
	"It's Dengar!  So that was who was in your room when I went in.
Lusa did he follow you here?"  	
	"I don't know?"
	"Jaina, do you think that was who followed us?"
	"No that was me," said a voice stepping out of the corner of the room.

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*	
	
	"Hi, Luke what do you want,"  Leia said half asleep.
	"Hey, kid, this better be important to wake us up this early 
in the morning."  Han said while yaning.
	"It's about Jaina..."
	"Is she hurt?" Leia asked with a worried look on her face.
	"Leia, if Jaina was hurt you would have known.  You would 
have felt it."  Han said trying to confort his wife.
	"Jaina is missing.  Jacen found her room ransacked.  We 
believe that she might be with Raynar.  She was last seen this morning 
before Jacen, Tenel Ka, and Lowie where down at the river looking for 
Lusa.  The same time they found Dengar's ship."
	"That's it I'm coming to there to find my little girl.  I'll be 
there tomorrow."
	"Han it'll be a least a two day trip."
	"I'll be there tomorrow morning."
	"Uncle Luke what should we do unitl then?
	"The Jungle is no place you want to be at night.  So just get some 
sleep and we'll look for her in the morning."  Luke could tell what Jacen's 
was thinking.  "Jacen, your sister will be fine.  Jaina is very strong in 
the Force and she is a bright girl.  She'll be just fine."  
	"What about Raynar and Lusa."
	"Raynar has much potential, if he believes in himself then he'll 
be fine, and Lusa can take care of herself.

	"Zekk!? What are you doing here?"
	"I followed you here." He looked at the confused look on Jaina's 
face then at Raynar's and Lusa's.  "I can't expalin it now, but we 
have to get out of here."
	"Zekk, did anyone follow you here?" Jaina asked
	"Yes, but when I went into the temple he stopped.  I don't 
think he knew that I came in here, Jaina.  Why?"
	"Raynar, we got to get her out of here. I think Dengar's here."
	"How do you know?  He could be anywhere."
	"When I went into Lusa's room there was someone in there.  
He could have heard us when we said that we were going to look for 
Lusa."
	"Your to late," said a voice stepping into the room.
