Fish Biryani
Ingredients :
1/2 kg fish
2 cups basmati rice
1 can coconut milk
3 tbsp butter
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1 small onion
a pinch of saffron soaked in water
1/2 tsp red chillie powder
salt to taste
a handful of corriander leaves finely chopped
Method :
1. Spread the ginger garlic paste on the fish. Heat butter in a pan, & cook the fish on both sides. Set aside.
2. Heat butter in a pan. Add the chopped onion & cook till the onions turn light brown, add the coconut milk. When it boils, add the rice.
3. When the rice is half-cooked; check. If it needs some water; add some. Add the saffron.
4. When done, arrange alternate layers of the prepared rice & the fish.
5. Serve hot, garnished with corriander leaves.
