Pictures from the TJ Cinnamons 2000 Season![]() This is a pic from the game against Newport Moose. Tisch and I have been friends for almost 9 years. We share a love of this game, and we also share the trauma of "getting smashed in the face with a line drive". No wonder we're friends. ![]() I'm taking a few swings during batting practice before a game... And here I am doing who knows what during fielding practice before a game...![]() Heather and I were pointing and laughing at Patty because she TAPED her hair back. This was at the Herre Bros. game that was rained out in the 3rd inning. A better look at what Patty did to her head...this is still funny to me!![]() Um, ok its not a picture from a game, but anytime I can punch Heather in the throat and someone takes a picture of it, cool! ( Notice how I'm wearing Courtni's #69 on my sleeve...) MORE PICS COMING SOON!! I'm a huge believer in having good equiptment, but only if it works. You can spend $10 on a bat and if it makes you perform better and it makes you feel good about the game, that's all that matters. I personally use the 2000 Demarini Doublewall Distance Lite, length of 34 inches, 25 oz. I love it. And yes, there is a
difference between a double-wall and a single-wall bat!! When my old MacGregor glove (that saw action in 17 seasons!!) finally lost its padding and I couldn't use it anymore, I was devastated. I loved that glove, almost as much as I love my car. Me and my glove had been thru alot together. It saw me thru 2 defense awards in high school, several all-star games, good stuff like that. With all the gloves out there now, its so hard to decide.
A few years back I bought a 14 inch TPS glove...I liked it in the store, but on the field it just didn't work for me. Too tall, too stiff. I think I used it for 4 games, then it was back to my old glove. Anyway, when I first saw the Nokona glove at Dick's a few years ago, I fell in love with it. I lusted over that glove for a whole season. The next year, when I finally decided to buy it, I went to Dick's (where the guy remembered me lusting over the glove) only to be told that they sold it the week before. They only had ONE like I wanted. So, I ordered it from the internet. I LOVE THIS GLOVE!! Its a 13 inch, open web, open back infielder's glove, made from Kangaroo hide. Not too stiff, not too flexible, but w/ lots of padding in the index finger. My only complaint is the seam on the back of the glove, it crosses
over my fingernails, which makes it painful to use the back of the glove to catch and flip the ball on a double play. But other than that, its a great glove!!If you love to play softball, like to look at catelogs, or just like getting stuff in the mail, then I highly reccommend checking out the Softball Sales website. I order almost everything from there, and its quality stuff. You can request a catelog from their website. click here to go to their website!!
