The sounds of ''Misirlou'' signalled the arrival of World Heavyweight Champion PJ Plush. Plush, in street clothes, gingerly stepped through the curtain, aided by longtime tag team partner Z-Man, who was dressed to compete for his return to in-ring action tonight. When the duo finally got to the ring, Plush announced that he set back the healing of his broken ribs and tore his abdominal muscle in his bout with Abi at Summer Slaughter. Plush announced that he would do his best to rehab his injuries and return within 30 days to defend his title. However, if in 30 days he is not 100%, he will vacate the title. This announcement brought out the Commish. The Commish announced that there is a former World Heavyweight Champion on the roster who never exercised his rematch clause and was doing so tonight. At that moment, Z-Man turned and clotheslined Plush to the mat.
(1) Z-Man defeated World Heavyweight Champion PJ Plush to win the title by pinfall in 2:22. Z-Man waited patiently for Plush to stand, and then went for a Gore, Plush managed to dodge the move, and Z-Man crashed into the turnbuckles. Evading the Gore caused Plush to crumble to his knees in pain from the torn abdominal muscle. He tried to cover Z-Man, but a kick to the ribs dropped him. Z-Man bodyslammed Plush and then pulled him up into a bearhug. After terrorizing Plush's injured ribs with the bearhug, Z-Man released the hold, and nailed Plush with a Gore, leading Plush to pass out from the pain. Three seconds later, Z-Man was the new World's Champion.

A video on the career of Jerry Lynn aired, hyping his debut.
(2) Maniac Matthews defeated Little Spike Deadly by pinfall in 5:43. Maniac Matthews made his debut after weeks of hype, and lived up to his name. Based on looks alone, he is the most outlandish character ever seen in a GWF ring. Beyond that, the 6'5'', 248 pound wrestler moves like a daredevil cruiserweight. He dominated Spike, who had returned to his tie-dyed roots, and won the match after a Musclebuster and a Swanton Bomb.
The Extreme Express and the Hellraisers were shown arguing over who deserves a Tag Team title shot, and the Commish decided they would battle it out next week to determine the number one contenders.

The big story in this bout was the teamwork between cousins Jazzy Jeff and the Rocker, who teamed up to eliminated Razorblade, Mason, Cole, Merlin, Patterson, and Abi; who had just tossed out Hanzo after a brutal showdown. When they seemed poised to take care of Credible, Hunter turned on Rocker and tossed him to the floor. Referees held Rocker back as his cousin taunted him from the ring, and Credible used the distraction to dump Hunter to the floor and win the match.

Dawn Marie interviewed Jimmy Hart backstage, and Hart revealed that he was leading the Hart Family into battle against the Army of Darkness next week.
Philadelphia Champion Devon Air and Mary Jane were shown sitting in a luxury box enjoying the action. Air commented on how great it was being a champion, and contemplated on how soon he'd cash in his shots at the World Tag Team and World Heavyweight Championships.
(2) World Tag Team Champions PJ Plush & Z-Man defeated the Hellraisers (w/ SPike Grey) by pinfall in 43:52. This match was an absolute blockbuster! The two teams tore into each other with fury early on, with the brawl spilling into both sides of the crowd. As Z-Man and Malcolm fought back to the ring, Plush and Ali ended up near the concession and merchandise tables. Plush backdropped Ali through the concession table, and shortly thereafter Ali returned the favor with a powerslam through the merch table. Meanwhile, Z-Man and Malcolm were brawling in and around the ring. Z-Man showed a mean streak that we've never seen from him before, powerbombing Malcolm into the ring post! Spike Grey managed to buy Malcolm some time by breaking his cane across the former World champ's back. Eventually, Plush and Ali brawled back to ringside, and referee Chris Kane managed to gain some semblence of order. The Hellraisers managed to isolate Plush, severely wearing him down for nearly ten minutes before he made the hot tag to Z-Man, who took down the Hellraisers with a double Gore. Another four-way brawl ensued. Z-Man fell victim to the KO at one point, but Plush made the save. Finally, after over forty grueling minutes of violent action, Plush piledrove Ali on the floor, and then he and Z-Man knocked Malcolm out with the Total Elimination to earn a hard fought victory.
After the match, the Impact Players ran out and attacked both teams until the Extreme Express ran out to help. Jimmy Hart sent out the Hart Family, prompting Monoxide Mare to lead the Army of Darkness into the ring. Eventually, the entire locker room emptied, culminating in a huge brawl throughout the entire arena as the show went off the air.

Bazooka Joe and Dan the Man were in the ring at the start of the show. The crowd, expecting a brawl, booed the brothers as they left the ring.
(1) The Samoan Gangsta Party defeated The Hotsteppers by pinfall in 5:37. This wild brawl came to an end after the 350 pound Kimo leapt off the top rope with a huge splash onto the Mack, who was laid out on a table. Paramedics stretchered the Mack out of the building following the match.

Dawn Marie interviewed Dan the Man in the back, asking him about what he planned to do now that he was leaving tag teaming behind. Dan said he was going to take out the root of all of his problems, Kurt Angle.
(3) Physical Graffiti defeated Maven by pinfall in 7:42. Graffiti made his return to the ring after losing so much blood at Battle of the Titans XVII that he went into shock. Graffiti seemed weakened at first, and Maven had a clear advantage. However, Graffiti caught Maven with a DDT when Maven lowered his head for a backdrop too early. After a few minutes of Graffiti-dominated action, the hardcore warrior put down the Tough Enough champion with a piledriver from the second turnbuckle for the duke.
The Hellraisers challenged World Tag Team Champions PJ Plush and Z-Man to a match for the titles next week.
Philadelphia Champion Devon Air and Mary Jane joined Kevin Kelly and Dusty Daniels at the announcer's table to observe the next match.
(4) World Heavyweight Champion Merlin wrestled to a No Contest with Lance Storm (w/ Dawn Marie) in 15:01. This match was excellently wrestled, but ended in a disappointing manner. (1) World Cruiserweight Champion ''Hot Stuff'' Jimmy Cole defeated Laser by pinfall in 9:10. This was a wonderful battle, with Laser nearly scoring a fall with several pinning combinations midway through the match. Kevin Kelly noted that GWF wrestlers Samu, Kimo, and Dustin Rhodes would all be a part of the WWE's Hall of Fame ceremony the following evening.

After the bout, Venom locked Goode in the Camel Clutch, and didn't let go until Oz ran out to aid Goode. Venom mouthed off at Oz as he retreated up the aisle.
Another Cactus Jack vignette was shown, highlighting his accomplishments in Philadelphia, including teaming with Maxx Payne against the Nasty Boys in WCW, battling Sabu in ECW, his legendary bout with Shawn Michaels for the WWF, and his feud with Bruiser Bradley in GWF. It ended with Cactus saying Philly was like a second home to him, and he deserved to be it's champion.
Bazooka Joe and Dan the Man were shown disagreeing about something in their locker room, but shoved the camera man out before anything was heard.
(3) Angel defeated Enigma by submission in 7:18. These two women put a lot into this match, and had the crowd on their feet. Angel focused on Enigma's arms throughout the bout, and after a Razor's Edge, she locked in the Angel Wings (Rings of Saturn) for the submission victory.
(4) World Tag Team Champions PJ Plush & Z-Man defeated Dan the Man & Bazooka Joe by pinfall in 12:09. Brothers Dan and Joe were on edge in this match, Joe obviously mad at being left at the mercy of Kurt Angle at Battle of the Titans XVII while his brother retreated to the back. Plush and Z-Man, however, were on the same page, and dominated most of the match. The match ended as Dan got into a verbal spat with a fat fan in the front row, allowing Plush and Z-Man to take Joe out with the Total Elimination for the win.
The champs celebrated and headed to the back as Dan finally got back into the ring. As Joe pulled himself up, Dan yelled at him for losing as Joe fired back at him for not breaking up the pin. The two were mouthing off, nose to nose, as the show faded to black.

This experience proved valuble, as Credible's attempt to drop Lance Andrews with That's Incredible was reversed by Razorblade and Andrews KOing Credible with a spike Tombstone for the victory!

Lodi managed to eliminate Kidman and Kid kash as they brawled along the ropes, only to be sent to the floor after a big boot from Mason. Mason, Laser, and Samu then began triple teaming former World Heavyweight Champion Razorblade. Blade managed to duck a Samoan Spike, which was instead felt by Laser as he sailed over the top rope. Blade fought on, eventually dumping Samu over the top with a Death Valley Driver. He seemed poised to shove Mason over the top when Hunter ran in, lowblowed and Jazzdropped him before tossing him over the top. Hunter and Mason celebrated, seemingly willing to wait out the clock. However, with seconds left, Hunter dropped Mason with a low blow and a Jazzdrop before tossing him to the floor to win the match.

Three seconds later, Carter was the winner.
After the match, Taylor Edwards ran out and got into a major brawl with Carter that took several officials to break up.
The Commish came to the ring once the brawl was cleared. He addressed the fact that Psicosis used his World Cruiserweight title belt as a weapon. Instead of defending it in a ladder match next week against Maven, Psicosis will defend it in a ladder match at Battle of the Titans XVII against Maven, Azrael, and Excalibur. Also at Titans, Heather Carter will defend her title against former partner Taylor Edwards. Finally, the Commish announced that he is naming Kurt Angle as the special referee for the World Tag Team Championship match. Kurt Angle came out and talked about his excitement to be involved in Titans, but tonight he was there for unfinished business. With that, he called out Sylvester Terkay.

These two pairs of brawlers ended up eliminating themselves in the heat of their battles. Cobana, Morrus, and Redd Dogg tried teaming up to eliminate the 340 pound Abi, but Brutus beat them all off of the big man, and then with one arm chokeslammed the Puerto Rican powerhouse over the top! First, as a result of last week's brutal attack on Z-Man and the ridiculous outcome of the World Tag Team Championship match at Extreme Extravaganza, the Commish suspended Tag champs Dan the Man and Bazooka Joe.
