The Evolution of the World Empire and the World System.

Remembrance of A Remarkable Academic.

Picture source: None dare call it Conspiracy; by Gary Allen (RIP) An academic point: nowhere in his book Tragedy and Hope does Quigley indicate that the source of the conspiracy was religious. He makes not mention of the pedantic Illuminati, so drop it ok. More over the claim to the influence of Soviet Union over the Communist Party of US was erronous because as Quigley said it was the J. P. Morgan and associates who exercised influence over these 'radicals'. In this, the Christian Right was incorrect in its attacks on the Left. Actually, they are both Big Busines under the mantle of Neo-liberalism and the Socialist International promote the same agenda. One to further liberalisation and the other as solution to the Globalist question a global government. The Anglo-American Establishment by Carroll Quigley: 'No country that values its safety should allow what the Milner group accomplished-that is, that a small number of men would be able to wield such power in administratiuon and politics, should be given almost complete control over the publication of documents relating to their actions, should be able to exercise such influence over the avenues of information that create public opinion, and should be able to monopolize so completely the writing and the teaching of the history of the own period'

The Evolution of Civilizations A biography -very short of Quigley by Mr T
Boyle. Thu, 10 Feb 2000 ello: Glad to hear from you. I was not related to Quigley. Was
just a friend and admirer. I hope to be able soon to post on my site more Quigley items.
He was not a Roman Catholic (at least not since college). He married out of the Church and
raised his family as Episcopalian. Politically he was a Stevenson, then Kennedy Democrat.
In 1968 he was a big supporter of Bobby Kennedy. He greatly distrusted bankers. He always
said that Cong Wright Patman was our firewall protecting us from their machinations. Good
luck on your web site. You should put on it more about yourself. Regards, Terry Boyle

WILLIAM CARROLL QUIGLEY
November 9, 1910 - January 3, 1977
http://www.tboyle.net/Catholicism/Carroll_Quigley.html

The January 6, 1977, obituary of Carroll Quigley
published in The Washington Star,
for which for many years he wrote book reviews.
_______
Carroll Quigley died in early January 1977. A few weeks later his long-time research assistant and personal friend, Miss Helen E. Veit, telephoned me to ask if I would be her lawyer for the probate of Quigley's last will and testament, which left to her all rights to his books, papers and research materials, but which Quigley's widow was intending to contest.
Happily, a compromise between Lillian Quigley and Helen Veit was reached and a will contest avoided. Carroll Quigley's wishes were all honored.
I hope that someday Carroll Quigley will have an appropriate web site on the internet. A very impressive "Carroll Quigley" site could be constructed. I have a huge collection of his writings, as well as many tape recordings of his lectures. It amazes me, more than twenty years after his death, how relevant many of Quigley's writings and lectures remain.
Among Quigley's most valuable insights are those concerning education.
Carroll Quigley was not only a natural-born "great" teacher; he was also a serious student of what it takes to be(come) a "great" teacher.
One of his essays with the most lasting value is surely his famous article "Is Georgetown University Committing 'Suicide'?"
A second is his thoughtful "Father Walsh as I Knew Him".
A most interesting piece written by Carroll Quigley is his account of how and by whom, actually, the G.U. School of Foreign Service was founded: "Constantine McGuire: Man of Mystery".
Listed below, of greatly varying quality, are the "Quigley Links" that I have found on the internet.
As anyone can see, many of the people still interested in Carroll Quigley seem to have taken entirely out of context the extensive references that he made in his book Tragedy and Hope: A History of the World in Our Time to a high-level Anglophile conspiracy that he said flourished before World War II. It seems many people believe that Quigley thought that this vast conspitacy somehow continues to operate right up to our own day.
But as Dr.Quigley once told me, the reality is much scarier. Instead of a secret cabal now being in charge, no one is in charge. We have instead a kind of chaos or anarchy.

Carroll Quigley on the New World Order and the suppression of his work...
>
Despite many disclaimers as to the existence of such an operation, it was exposed beyond argument with the publication of "Tragedy and Hope: A History of the World in our Times", authored by the United States' most eminent historian, Professor Carroll Quigley. Published by MacMillans in 1966, Quigley's "Tragedy and Hope" revealed evidence of a long-term programme which many had suspected but none had been able to verify with suitable documentation. [2]
Quigley, who was in some sympathy with the objectives of the programme, had been given personal access to the papers of a worldwide banking and finance association working consciously towards world government. His book may well have remained within the confines of a restricted readership had it not been discovered by some populist researchers who were seeking wider empirical evidence for their own suspicions. Quigley's work was regurgitated for a wider readership. Cleon Skousen's "The Naked Capitalist" and particulary Gary Allen's "None Dare Call It Conspiracy", with a print-run in the millions, focussed enormous attention on Quigley's work.
Faced with this unexpected development, "Tragedy And Hope" became almost unobtainable. Quigely's revelation were [sic] obviously considered suitable for a selective readership, but not for wide dissemination. MacMillans announced there were no plans to reprint, although the unprecedented demand was a publisher's dream. Copies vanished from public libraries. The book was changing hands for up to $400 a copy.
With prices like these it was'nt long before pirate editions appeared. Quigley himself was bewildered by what had happened. He could not understand why he could not get the book republished, even though all stocks were exhausted. In a personal letter dated December 9, 1975 he wrote:
"Thank you for your praise of "Tragedy and Hope", a book which has
brought
me
many headaches as it apparently says something which powerful people do
not
want known.
My publisher stopped selling it in 1968 and told me he would reprint (but in
1971
he told my lawyer that they had destroyed the plates in 1968.) The rare
book
price went up to $135 and parts were reprinted in violation of copyright
but I
could do nothing because I believed the publisher and he would not take
action even when a pirate copy of the book appeared. Only when I hired a
lawyer in 1974 did I get answers to my questions to my publisher..."
In another letter Quigley wrote of his publishers:
"they lied to me for six years, telling me that they would reprint when they
got
2,000 orders, which could never happen because they told anyone who
asked
that it was out of print and would not be reprinted. They denied this
to me
until I sent them Xerox copies of such replies in libraries, at which
they
told me it was a clerk's error. In other words, they lied to me but
prevented me from regaining publications rights..."
Elsewhere in the same letter he wrote:
"... I am now quite sure that Tragedy and Hope was suppressed although I
do
not know why or by whom..." [3]
