[THE END OF PROSPERITY] In the 70's the oil hocks killed the economic ideology of prosperity called Keynesianism, now we have Parsimony as an elite ideology, be it economic rationalism (neo-liberalism) and environmentalism under the sanctimonious guise of Monetarism and Sustainable Development. The Club of Rome (COR) jumped at the opportunity to 'explain' the reasons behind the crisis behind inflation and unemployment to insert its own agenda of political and economic centralism. Please note, the funders of the COR are the Fiat Corporation and the Wolkwagen Foundation; you'd never think that big time industrialists would want such a clamp down on economic growth? Given that, it would reduce the profitability of their enterprises and cause the shrinkage of their consumer markets. So predictably, they would have an agenda of gain behind the transfer of resources down the track; this has been done via political means such as treaties and other conventions, so to achieve an economic goal.
