We would just like to take this opportunity to thank each parent and family member that have been so supportive towards this team.
Between taking the time to drive your child to each practice and game, taking turns bringing delicious snacks, your words of encouragement and your overall support that you have shown, we could not have had such a wonderful season.
As you know, this is our first year coaching and you have made it so much fun by being the kind of parents that you are. Not once have any of you told us we were doing something wrong and you allowed us to teach the children what we knew. We appreciate your trust in us and hope to continue to earn your approval.
With these children, it is obvious that they do so well because of the love and support they are shown not only on the field but at home as well. We are so proud of each and every one of them and can tell by how their eyes light up when you holler out during a game to "keep going" that they gain the extra strength within themselves that was needed to make it to the goal. For this is not something that we can teach them during practice, this is something that took years of love from you. Thank you for being you and allowing us to share this time in their lives.
We have grown attached to "our team" and will admit that when this season is over, we are truly going to miss the time we have spent with them. For they have "made a goal" into our hearts that have "scored" them a spot that will forever be in our memories.
We hope that we will keep in touch and that when next season comes, we will be honored to see their bright, shiny smiles once again all ready to give it their best!
