Carol (talking about Doug): "....Because...I'm still in love with him...I am. I've been in love with him since I was 23 years old. He's everything to me. He's my life. I feel complete when I'm with him and I feel empty when we're apart. He's the father of my children....and he's my soulmate."
Carter: "I'm afraid that we're going to have to cut it off."
Parents: "WHAT?!"
Carter: "The zipper! I meant the zipper!"
Carter: "When you do everything you can, sometimes more than you thought you could, you've got to walk away knowing you've fought the good fight. You fought the good fight, Lucy, and tomorrow you'll fight another one."
Linda: "Do you think there's one perfect love. You know, like 'Sleepless in Seattle' someone under the stars. One perfect person for everybody?"
Carol: "I don't know, why?"
Linda: "Because for Doug, it's you."
Doug: "You can get through my door."
Carol: "Anything in a bra can get through your door."
(talking about Doug)
Lydia: "He's unbelievable."
Carol: "You wonder why I slept with him on the first date."
Lydia: "Really? First date?"
Carol: "Yeah, he rang the doorbell, the next thing I knew we were on the kitchen floor."
Lydia: "Kitchen floor? I gotta start dating again!"
Dr. Keaton: "You don't know anything about Pediatric surgery."
Benton: "Look, I thought it was necessary..."
Dr. Keaton: "Are you unwilling to learn from your mistakes?"
Benton: "It doesn't say in the text not to stitch a liver!"
Dr. Keaton: "It isn't in the text. You didn't know what the hell you were doing! The second you realized you screwed up you should have called me. Why did I find three stitches in there?"
Benton: "Because I was trying...."
Dr. Keaton: "I'll tell you why! Because you arrogantly and blindly think you have all the answers! If that baby dies it will be my responsibility....but it'll be your fault!"
Dennis: "Hey, we're all human. You know, we all make mistakes."
Benton: "Any other words of wisdom, Gant?
Dennis: "You're a real prick, you know that?"
Carol: "All those times my mother tried to teach me Russian."
Doug: "All those times your mother yelled at me in Russian."
Carol: "Yeah, well you deserved it."
Carol: "Doug, pick up. Doug, it's me. Ok listen, I don't know where the hell you are but as soon as you get this, you call me right away. You can run but you cannot hide."
