Carter"
Carter returns to the ER, late, to discover the victims of a drive-by-shooting waiting. His main interest is to join Dr. Benton, who's taking care of a near-term pregnant lady who caught a bullet -- in the baby. Benton is concerned that Carter do well, for as Benton's protégé, Carter's behavior now reflects upon Benton. Dr. Greene takes on his duties as the new Attending Physician, and finds heavy sailing. He meets Jane Pratt, who informs him of her interest in the job of Chief Resident, and is recommended to Kerry Weaver from Mt. Sinai. And Greene meets Loretta Sweet, a prostitute with a dry sense of humor. Dr. Ross, on the other hand, is becoming even less responsible than normal as he treats a Swedish flight attendant. Hathaway announces a number of procedures to the nurses, including a new color choice in gowns, and the fact that she [Hathaway] will need to ride along with paramedics to retain her certification. New medical students arrive, including Harper, whose attractiveness flusters Carter.
