.:Anywhere For You-Chapter 17:.
Chapter Seventeen

Months later, Beth and Kevin found themselves in very different situations. Beth was settling into her job and began to really love the city of Pittsburgh. She loved all of the buildings with their ancient gargoyles. Every time she was downtown, she found herself looking up to the roofs of the older structures to admire the stonework that the tops of some had.

On the other hand, Kevin found himself feeling depressed. He could not stop thinking about Beth. He was continually wondering what she was doing, and if he was faced with a new situation, he always wanted to know if Beth had ever experienced it. He always thought of the old times back in Kentucky. He really liked dating her, and he pondered upon the thought of his love for her being a different type of love than what they had thought over all the years. In his heart he thought that he wanted her to be more to him than a friend, but his brain was telling him that this was only because he missed her. Finally the cracking point came and he could not take any longer. He had to talk to her.

He quickly ran up to his room and methodically dialed her number in Pittsburgh.

"Hello?" she answered sweetly.

"Um, hi. I really, really miss you, and I really want to see you again. When are you coming back? Oh yeah, this is Kev."

She laughed. "Hey, I haven't talked to you in awhile!"

"Yeah...So what are you doing?"

"I'm talking to you..."

"Aw, shuttup!"

"Nah, but for real I just got home."

"Oh, really?"

"Yeah, I was at work."

"Yeah? So how's the job going?"

"Oh, it's fine, but I don't think the company will last."

"Oh?"

"Yeah, we're real tight on money."

"So, when do you get a break?"

"Why?"

"Because I wanna visit you."

"Actually we're all being dismissed next week for a couple weeks while they battle out our bankrupcy case in court."

"No!"

"What?"

"We're recording then! I'm not allowed to leave. We have to be on call at all times."

"Oh, great...This is so unfair."

"Well, can you fly down?"

"You're overlooking a small, small, HUGE detail!!"

"What?"

"I ain't got no money, honey!"

He laughed. "That's where my part comes in."

"You can't always do that-"

"Yes, I can. I want you to visit, so I'll pay for you. You're my guest!"

"Fine!"

"Good. I'll have them mail you the ticket."

"Thank you sooooo much."

"No problemo!"

"See ya then!"

"Okay, bye!"

"Bye."

They both hung up. Kevin's face was covered with his huge grin. He quickly snatched up the phone again and dialed the number for the ticket agency. He really couldn't wait.
