Here are some notes I wrote a few years ago based on the previous text edition on the first seven chapters. Some of the page references need updating.
Perhaps even better are the Powerpoint slides posted here. These are great in several ways. First, you can download them and play the slides. Second, you can download them and print "handouts," which will be a set of slides on each page (some people call these handouts "ready notes."). Third, you can print out the slides in "outline" mode. You will need MS Powerpoint or PPViewer to open the files. No problem, since we have PP on the network (and the viewer can be downloaded free if you're at home and don't have Powerpoint.). Printing these out will give you some really good notes on the chapters. Of course, we will try to amplify these notes during class periods.
Also, I've posted a couple of articles which we may talk about (Does anyone sense a paper here?). If you would like to post a link to an article, let me know. I'm sure everyone would appreciate it. I know I would.
