Pastor Phillip P. Thomas

Pastor Phillip Thomas is a native of Clarion County. His is the story of the prodigal son. Converted to Christ as a teenager, Phillip Thomas strayed for a number of years, only to find himself sitting near the hog pen of life, drunken, discouraged, and his family life a wreck. After God used a catastrophe in his life to bring him to a place of surrender, He began to prepare Phillip to preach the Gospel, while using his experiences to help other hurting people, who have drifted away from the Lord. Pastor Thomas was ordained and commissioned in Community Baptist Church, located in Richmond, VA. His ministry is marked by a strong love for the Lord and His people, a passion for winning and discipling souls, and a great burden for revival in America.

Assistant Pastor David A. DeVore

Assistant Pastor David A. DeVore: In 1974, at the age of thirteen, because someone preached to me the Word of God, I came to the realization that I was a sinner, then trusted Christ to forgive my sin and save me from hell. After many wasted years of living in the world I realized that I was helping to send my son to hell with the poor example I was setting, and that my family and I needed to get to know the One who died for us. My son's now saved and attends the Foundation Christian school here at the church. It was a great joy to be baptized the same day as my son, mother, and father by Pastor Thomas. My brother was saved and baptized years earlier. We enjoy the fellowship of the great people here at the Bible Baptist Church, and praise God for it.
