Description: The fabulous prince of all Saiyans, and arguably the best fighter in the universe. (My personal favorite.) He enters DBZ near the beginning. Raditz's death, which was heard over his scouter prompts Vegeta and his bodyguard Nappa to come to Earth to finish what Raditz started. He is met there by the whole Z team. After his Cybamen and Nappa are defeated, he fights. He would have won if not for Gohan turning Ozarru. He starts as only a rival to Goku. As time goes by though, he and Goku must work together. He never becomes Goku's "pal", but he does get a little less evil. His power almost always parallels Goku's and when they fuse into Gogetta they can't be beat.

Description: Goku was a young boy in Dragonball, and a grown man in DBZ. He was almost always very strong, and never gives up. Overcomming all odds he always grabs down deep inside himself to get what power he needs to destroy his foe. He has trained under the masters (Grandpa Gohan, Master Roshi, and King Kai) combined with the fact that he is a Saiyan. This has made him one of the most strong, honorable, challenging opponents in all of Dragonball/Z/GT.

Description: Raditz doesn't appear much in DBZ. He is mostly in the first few eps. He Is the first person who lets us know what a Saiyan is though. He has long har, which is pretty cool I think. His get's killed by piccolo's Makkankosappo (Special beam cannon for you american DBZ watchers ^_^). Goku was also killed sacrificing himself to hold Raditz still. His pl was = to that of the cybamen in the Saiyan saga. He did put up a good fight and almost beat Goku and Piccolo. He may not be powerful at all compared to the characters later in DBZ, but he played a very important part in explaining a few things (what a Saiyan is, what a scouter does, etc.).

Description: Goku's son. He was introduced at the very beginning of the series. He had a normal pl of 1, but when he got mad, it shot as high as 1307. Pretty good for a 5 1/2 year old! He was actually the first one to hurt Raditz. He did this when his pl was 1307. He is 1/2 Saiyan, since his mother was a human. He has his tail, unlike Goku. Chichi made him study hours a day and wouldn't let him train, but Piccolo fixed that at the start of DBZ by training him for a year. He even "helped" fight Nappa and Vegeta. Later in DBZ he turns into the Great Saiyaman.
