Chapter 1

~~~Takes place in Wilkes-Barre, Pennslyvania during July~~~"Heather get your lazy ass out of your bed right now or you have to walk to the mall. I am not waiting 20 minutes like last time!" "Gah!", the twenty year old replied as she sat up on her bed with her long brown hair in everydirection. "Heather there will be guys at the mall. You don’t wanna miss that , do ya?", her twenty year old, blond, best friend replied. "Jenn, what, guys, where, when, and how?!", she said nearly flying out of bed and falling flat on her face. "Not really graceful for a dancer, huh?" Jenn was used to this sort of morning by now seeing as they have been best friends as of freshman year of high school and had been living in a small apartment since they started college 2 years ago. Their crazy life was full of suprises and they could make anything seem interesting. "Heather, if you don’t get ready all the hot guys will be taken", Jenn said to Heather as she was still laying on the floor not moving since she fell, but the prospect of all the hot guys being taken was the motivation she needed to get moving. "Alright, alright! Give me an hour!" "45 minutes!" "Fine, but get out!" Jenn made her way down the hall to the kitchen and grabbed an apple for breakfast. She heard Heather singing in the shower. "God, she really needs singing lessons.", Jenn said as she laughed at her ditzy friend. 45 minutes later they were out the door in Jenn’s new purple convertible. "We have to hurry it is 12:30 and we go on the air at 6:00.", Jenn said referring to their job at the local radio station, Z102.8. They did the nightly show Monday through Friday from 6 to 10. "Oh my gosh, we only have 5 hours to shop. We have never pulled that off before." "Where are we going to go first? I wanna play you in air hockey at the arcade. I really think you should try and play against yourself again." "Yeah, I was really sad when I lost." "Sometimes I wonder why your mom didn’t put you in a mental home. You belong there you know." "Ha ha, very funny!" "It was. Wasn’t it. Thank you, thank you very much.", she said laughing as she bowed to the imaginary audience. "Shut up", Heather said as she learned forward to turn the radio up. " Oh, I love this song!" Quit Playing Games blares on the radio as Heather tries to sing. "Heather, you know you really suck at singing, don’t ya. Shouldn’t we listen to our own radio station. Ya know where we work?" "No it is only good when we are on. Hehe!", she said as she grinned devilishly. "You are full of crap. Well we are here. Get out of my car. Heather think guys" Heather sprints out of the car and nearly gets run over and blue jeep. "Learn to drive", Heather screamed. Little did they know that in the jeep, were the Backstreet Boys, whose song she just mutilated. ~~~In the jeep~~~ 'Damn, what the hell was that!", the dark haired passenger exclaimed. "Yeah," the driver drawled in his southern accent, "I think that was a girl." "Girl, girl, where is she and why isn’t she on my lap!", the youngest of the group replied with his short blond haircut. The oldest one replied, "Get your horny mind out of the gutter, Nickolas Gene. You are only 17. Your mother left me responsible for you. "Oh sorry MOM!", Nick replied with a sarcastic look. "Come on guys, lets hit the mall.", the peacemaker, Howie, said trying to prevent another fight between the oldest and the youngest. ~~~Back outside with the girls~~~ "Oh man, guys need to learn to drive...." Jenn interrupts, "HEATHER, SHUT UP!" "Fine, fine", Heather grumbled. The girls enter the mall hoping not to run into the arrogant guys that nearly hit Heather.
