Pension: Other: Last name is sometimes misspelled or refered to as "McGinley". James was brother-in-law to Co. K Sgt. John Williamson as he was married to John's wife's (Hester) sister. He is mentioned often in Williamson's letters home. Williamson specifically mentions James writing to his brother, John, who served with the 28th and 147th PA and was stationed at Point of Rocks, MD. In June, 1869 James was attacked while living in Eckley by alleged Molly Maguires.
