The KCRC (Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation provides rail service between Ghanzhou and Kowloon. The bulk of the system is the passenger network which operates in the New Territories, a region controlled by the Hong Kong government. The commuter network is a single double track mainline, known as East Rail. East Rail provides commuter services as far as Lo Wu. Lo Wu requires a Chinese visa for foreigners, where as all the other stations before are still under the Hong Kong SAR. The KCR is also the sole provider of rail freight for Hong Kong, which provides freight service in between Hong Kong and several major mainland cities. The KCR also provides a passenger service from Hung Hom to Ghanzhou in the form of the Ktt train.
