...And now, the news...

8-24-99

Today, at 4:49:21 PM EST, "Matto's Computer Web Site" was bought for a whopping $7.33 by Lambda Software Inc. Lambda Software Inc. (formally know as Mattsoft and Mattek, makers of VaporWin 97 (Code Named Redmond) and VaporWin 99 (Code Named Washington)software.) does not seem to have any plans in reorganizing or changing this web site.

"The web page designer, Matthew Kapun, will still be in charge of everything. But he will have upload and distribute our VaporWare line, if it ever comes out," Says Matthew Kapun, CEO of Lambda Software Inc.

Lambda Software Inc. has been in business for over a year, but we fail to see any kind of software being produced. When we asked 100 people on the streets if they knew of Lambda Software Inc., 99.9 per cent of them didn't.

"This type of thing really hurts our business," Says Kapun. "I mean, you would think that an R and D group of 1 would produce a fully workable x86 compatible OS with no bugs in a year. Ups, I gonna have to fire myself!"

Keep watching for updated info.

Lambda Software Inc. has just development for it's newest OS - VaporLamb 10.29.00 (Code named October). This new OS is due out in the fall of 2000.

"This Operating System is going to be 10x faster, more stable, and secure than Windows (r) 2000 Server," Says Kapun, CEO of Lambda Software Inc. "And people who want 10x the productivity of Micron computer Soft's products should turn their heads in this direction.

"I understand the need for a better OS. Micron computer Soft's last two attempts have two "Blue Screens of Death" in a row. Who needs a big blue screen popping up when you are working on an important document? This won't happen in the VaporLamb OS family. This OS just turns off the computer - no questions asked"

But will VaporLamb 10.29.00 come out on time.. or at all? Stay informed. This section is updated (almost) every day.

After a brief discussion with the owner of Perspectives Inc. today, it is known that they do not want to be part of the Lambda Software Inc. Family. Although they don't, Lambda Software Inc. plans to keep good relations between these two companies.

"It's not really competition," Says Kapun. "I mean, I just thoght that it would be nice to share resources, not buy them up. That would be so Micron computer Soft-ish. Being well-known is our priority, being big and Monopolistic isn't."

8-27-99

In light of a recent finding at an informal meeting today, we can now say that Lambda Software Inc. and Perspectives Inc. might become competitors. Perspectives Inc. has come up with an idea about a new OS. Other than that, no additional information was given.

"Sure we are the upstarts, the underdogs." Says Kapun. "Competing against the big boys like Micron computer Soft or even Macintosh is hard enough; but competing against one of our own nature may kill us.

"It's like this. [Lambda Software Inc. is] fighting a battle against these big companies. Before, it didn't really matter if our production was as big or as complex. Just having an install base of just half the people in our hometown was pleasing enough. Now we have to start competing on that small scale too? We are running against Perspectives Inc. in the proverbial rat race. It's usually the company who finishes first that wins."

But will this new light urge Lambda Software Inc. to release it's products? It's still early to tell.

In other news, the first web site outside of Kapun's reign has come under the Lambda Software Inc. banner. You can visit the site here.

8-28-99

Being that it is a weekend business runs slower here. Lambda Software Inc. just aquired and accound with The Globe site. This will be used to store images and the like. (Maybe even Lambda Software Inc. Beta programs for you to test.)

9-2-99

Today at approx. 6:30 PM, Lambda Software Inc. will give Perspective Inc. one of it's software products: Matt's Music Maker.bat.

"This is a relatively easy bat program, with an integration of a program called "taste", but it is the first product to be released by Lambda Software Inc. (Not under Mattsoft)," Says Kapun. "Hey, maybe this wil be a peace offering and maybe convince them that competing against us may really kill us"

It is speculated that in return for this program, Lambda Software Inc. may get an old Apple /// with monitor and printer from Perspectives. Elwell is not around now to confirm.

(This edition was prompted by Elwell)

..And the hold-out continues. Lambda Software Inc. has no idea what Perspectives Inc.'s next move is. For the last month, it has been known that Perspectives Inc. is planning to release an OS that would compete against VaporLamb.

"I don't know," commented Kapun. "I have no clue of what's up Perspective Inc.'s sleave. But with every coming day, our relations are getting shakier and shakier. Right now, we still have pretty good relations, but that could switch dramaticly within the course of the next couple of weeks.

"Here's the deal. Perspectives Inc. is doing one of these 4 things: 1)Elwell has hired an R+D group of over 100 people that are programming this thing right now, 2)Elwell himself is doing all the programming right now, 3)the product is finished and ready to ship, or 4)Elwell has no idea what to do to get started. Don't get me wrong, there are no hard feelings between us right now, but there may be in the future."

10-2-99

And the accusations start. In Perspectives Inc. newsletter, Perspectives Post, Elwell states that the OS, now known as "Knight", will never ship.

"I don't believe that Elwell," Says Kapun. "The OS probably will come out or has come out already. Why would you plan an operating system, and not follow through? Something sounds not right.

"In fact, you can't believe him! It's the way he conducts business. In exchange for a copy of Matt's Mix SE Vol. 1 CD, he gave me a computer. 'Oh, yeah. The monitor has an Apple logo with a /// by it.' Yeah, of course it did.. but what about the actual compter?! Was it an Apple ///? No. Saying one thing and delivering another is the way Perspectives Inc. works.

"I think I'll put another set of links on my site. Perspectives Inc. will be the first one on. I think the title "Shit List" would be effective."

The preceeding is not neccessarily the views of all the employees working for Lambda Software Inc.

12-20-99

Lambda Software Inc. debuts its Hardware line: Lambda Computer Co. The first computer that will be part of that line will be the Zalambdalepthon K3502 for a low, low full system price of $800. Click here for the full line.

When asked how Lambda Computer Co. can create such a wonderful PC for that low price, Kapun, CEO of Lambda Computer Co., responds: "It wasn't easy. First off, we have no direct contact with the actual dealers. We cannot get our materials directly from the factories, we have to go through a middle-man, which bumps up the price. We scour any markets, online, computer shows, etc., and pass our savings on to you, our customers with little profit margins. Which, in turn, we hope, will create more sales resulting in greater profits. We hope to rely on the satisfacion of the customers and haveing them come back to us with future purchases, than relying on selling to a few, and getting less in return. For all of us here, we hope our strategy works."
