12.03 AT 112MPH ON APRIL 16TH, 2005 AT THE SSOTN FALL NATS!!!

I've needed to do an update for a while, so I created a new page for it. I just put on my new wheels which are Bogart RR10's in 17X9 up front and 17X10.5 out back. I put 245-45-17 Nitto 555 tires up front and 315-35-17 Nitto 555R Drag Radials out back. I also added a real Saleen S-351 wing, real ford Cobra headlights, and a Morpheous (now out of business) Power Pipe on my car. Here are some pics. I will add more updates here soon including new times and such.

NEW COMBO IN THE WORKS!
Back on April16th, 2005 I was attending a private track day at Cecil County Dragway. I was on my way to running my best time, and long time personal goal of an 11 second NA run when tragedy struck. I had run 12.03ET and knew that my 11 second pass was close at hand, but unfortunately I tried too hard on subsequent runs and missed 4th gear and somehow managed to get the shifter into 2nd gear. I do not need to tell you how bad of a mistake that was. From the calculations I have done, my motor probably hit over 8000rpms when I went from 6000rpms in 3rd gear to 2nd gear. This resulted in floating the exhaust valves and sending them into the pistons. Now that I have to fix the heads and I have pistons that are screwed up, I think its time to rebuild the shortblock and step the combo up a notch. Its been months since the car has been down, but I expect to have it back up and running by Spring of '06. Stay tuned!!!


UPDATE August 7, 2005: My car is featured in the October 2005 issue of "Mustang Enthusiast Magazine"! I was excited about being in one magazine, but to be in two is a dream come true. Thanks to all that helped me over the years to create my car! Here's a pic from the magazine.

Here are some pics of my interior. I have chrome MGW pieces, Autometer Carbon fiber electric water temperature and oil pressure gauages, and various color matched pieces.

This is me launcing on my 315 nitto DR's at the SSOTN Spring '04 Nats where I ran a 12.56 at 109.11 in 100% street driven form, and a 12.33 at 110 in track form. All runs were on these wheels and tires.

This was my fastest pass on ET streets prior to Nov 14th, 2004

Here's my fastest pass to date on my Nitto drag radials. I had a bit too much timing in the car, thus the reason for the high 1/8th mile MPH, but the lack of it showing up on the top end.

Here's a pic of me racing against Bob (Rel3rd on all the mustang boards) at the SSOTN race. DAMN yellow looks good. You can see my 17" Bogarts up front too!!!


UPDATE 8-9-04: I just added a set of eibach front lowering springs to my car. My buddy Troy switched to coil overs and had these laying around. The car looks much better this way, but I plan to put the stock springs back on shortly. I will eventually go with coil overs so I can set the car's ride height. Its too low right now and barely fits in my garage... its too much of a PITA to get the car into and out of the garage to keep it this way, plus I'm on a mission to run as close to the 11 second barrier in the 1/4 as I can before I worry about looks over 60's! Here are some lowered pics though...
