SYNTHESIS OF YOGA AND YOGA OF SYNTHESIS(PART-3)

Master Chao Kok Sui's Arhatic Yoga

A major distinguishing feature of Master Choa's courses has been techniques that are simple and easy to practice, yet at the same time powerful and effective. While thousands of people have taken the Preparatory Course of Arhatic Yoga, only a selected few have been able to sustain their practice and proceed to the higher levels. Simple techniques sometimes look too easy that there seems no challenge in practising them. But the challenge is not in the simplicity of the meditations or practices; the challenge lies in doing these simple things consistently and regularly (daily even) until they become a part of one's life.

To be a successful Arhatic Yoga practitioner, one must therefore persevere. The practice requires dedication and persistence specially since the lower Levels (from Preparatory to Level 3) take at least a year per level to reasonably master.

The different Levels gradually then exponentially increase one's energy level, healing abilities, and control over subtle energies. At some stage, if practice is regular, the different siddhis, or powers, begin to manifest.

At the beginning of the practice, we have the Arhatic Preparatory Course which provides for a successful Arhatic Yoga practice. The basic techniques are easy to practice, but must be mastered thoroughly and practised constantly in order to prepare one's subtle bodies for the next levels. The observance of the virtues and constant character-building provide the backbone to sustain one's practice at the higher levels. The techniques taught in the Preparatory Course, like the Meditation on Twin Hearts and the Meditation on the Soul are continued in all the subsequent levels, and the quality and quantity of energies generated during these basic meditations change as one goes up the levels.

After the Preparatory Course, there is Level One, which consists of all the practices in the Preparatory Level plus the additional special technique which introduces the practitioner to a safe and powerful way of activating the chakras, which is an important step before the Kundalini can be awakened and raised safely. The technique for the Activation of the Chakras in their proper sequence is revealed in this Level. Sufficient mastery of this level enables a practitioner to rapidly increase the size and dimensions of his/her chakras. This greatly increases the practitioner's healing ability, and improves control over subtle energies. In addition, the practitioner's energy bodies become more efficient and powerful. The implications of these developments on one's physical, emotional, and mental state are enormous.

Level two consists of all the practices in the Preparatory Level, Level One, and the additional special technique which teaches how to relate the Chakras with each other. The combination of chakras that are to be related to each other, and the sequence of their activation is revealed at this level. A relatively thorough mastery of this level will make the practitioner an accomplished person in his/her line of work, business, or career. The end result of the practice of Level Two is the development of a powerful and integrated personality. A person who relatively masters this level will be able to achieve anything he/she sets as a goal more easily than ordinary people. Level Three consists of all the practices in the Preparatory Level, Level One, Level Two and the additional special techniques for the Integration of the Chakras, the Building of the Antahkarana (spiritual cord), and the Development of the Golden Body. This is the most intricate of the lower three levels, and requires the practitioner to be a full vegetarian, a regular practitioner of pranic healing, and an active server in Master Choa's Pranic Healing Foundations. But its proper and regular aging process. It is important to note that in these lower levels, the Meditation on Twin Hearts, Meditation on the Soul, character-building, and other basic meditations introduced in the Preparatory Course, continue to be practiced. These basic meditations are needed to keep the development of the practitioner balanced and the energies safely generated and maintained.

If the basic meditations and Preparatory practices are not done properly, like, if the practitioner is not sufficiently purified, then the effect of Level 3 energies for example could be to cause the physical body to age at a faster rate, instead of retarding the aging process.

The other Levels concern practices that deal with higher energies which could be dangerous for those who have not adequately mastered the lower level, and have not consistently and regularly done character-building and the other meditations and practices of the Preparatory Course.
