~Chapter 7~

"Wait, this happened last night? I thought you were with Richard last night?" Gina asked as she pulled a purple tank top off the rack. Her and Danielle had decided to go shopping. "Don't you listen. I said friday night after the reunion." Danielle told her as she admired the same tank top. "Oh, sorry. Well, what happened next?" Gina asked. "He left and said we could get together today." Danielle said. "And are you?" Gina asked smiling.

"Yeah. He called me eariler. We're gonna go play some basketball at the ol' court. Geez, I haven't been there in forever." A smile came across her face as she remembered how she used to watch Brian and his friends play there all the time. "I don't know how you two are gonna be able to just be friends. You both are obviously attracted to each other. Pretty soon all hell will break loose."

Danielle sighed. "Yeah, but thats all it is, just an attraction. I'm not going to ruin my relationship with Richard for some stupid attraction. We are much better just being friends." Gina sighed. "Well thats how you feel, but did you consider his feelings. He might say he is okay with this but he probably isn't at all. Do you think this is such a good idea?" Danielle shrugged her shoulders. "Whats the big deal. We're friends. He was drunk, he didn't know what he was doing." Gina rolled her eyes. "Yeah yeah. Well its getting late. We should head back so you can meet Brian." Gina said. Danielle nodded and followed her out of the store.

"Thanks for dropping me off. You sure you don't wanna stay and hang out?" Danielle asked Gina, who sat in the drivers seat. Gina shook her head. "Sorry. I promised John we'd spend the rest of the day together. We haven't had a lot of time for each other. He's been so busy lately." Danielle smiled and nodded. "Okay. I'll call you later." Gina smiled. "K, see ya."

Danielle got out of the car and walked onto the basketball court. She looked around. Four teenage boys were on the court at the far end. They were shooting baskets and messing around. She turned her attention back to the empty court she stood on. She hoped Brian would arrive soon. She decided to sit down on the ground and wait for him. Danielle thought about the conversation she had earlier with Gina. Was she right? Maybe Brian did have feelings for her. They never really talked about what had happened. She just asumed everything was okay.

Danielle was so lost in thought she didn't hear the footsteps coming up behind her. She almost jumped out of her skin when she felt two fingers pinch her sides. She screamed and quickly spun around. Brian laughed loudly at her reaction. "Calm down. It's only me." Danielle sighed and stood. "Geez, you scared the living hell out of me." Brian sat his duffle bag on the ground and then smiled at her. "Sorry 'bout that. Ya ready to play?" Danielle nodded. "Yeah. Go easy on me. I'm a tiny women who isn't very good." Brian nodded. "Okay."

He looked at what she was wearing. She had on a black baby T on that had different designs on it and tear away swooshy pants. "You might get hot wearing pants." Brian told her. Danielle nodded as she looked at him. He had on a dark blue muscle shirt and red shorts. "You're right." She then smiled and slid her pants down. Brian's eyes widened as he watched her. Then he realized she had shorts on under them. After his heart started to beat at its normal pace he smiled and bounced the basketball. "Okay, lets play."

They played seriously for a little while but soon they just started goofing around. Danielle grabbed the ball from Brian and ran down the other end without dribbling it. "Cheater!" He yelled as he ran after her. She stuck her tounge out and quickly shot the ball in the basket. It went through then hit the ground and bounced towards Brian. Instead of grabbing it he let it bounce away as he sat on the ground and caught his breath.

Danielle walked towards him and stood over him. "Come on! You're a Backstreet Boy! You should be in shape. Lets go! Up, up, up." She said as she clapped her hands together. Brian grabbed her arm and pulled her down next to him. "I'm beat. No more please." He begged. Danielle smiled. "Okay. You wanna walk back to my apartment." Brian nodded. "Sure."
